This self-paced course introduces participants to the basic fundamentals of the natural gas industry and the operations of a natural gas distribution system.

During this course, participants will have the opportunity to work through several modules that will provide a basic understanding of natural gas distribution. These modules include: a history of the natural gas industry and information on the structure of the industry; the structure of utility companies; the basic properties of natural gas; the fundamentals of natural gas pipelines and their construction; how natural gas distribution systems are operated and maintained; quality and safety in the industry; and careers in the natural gas industry.
